We're committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students in the Aiken County Public School System.
Purpose
The Matthews Foundation is a public charity that provides financial assistance to Aiken County Public School System high school seniors pursuing a college degree and assists homeless or displaced students within the Aiken County Public School System McKinney-Vento program with clothing and a gift through a Christmas Holiday outreach.

Aiken Gas Giveaway
The Matthews Foundation held a gas giveaway event in Aiken, South Carolina, where volunteers handed out free gas cards to teachers, administrators, and other school staff members to show appreciation for their hard work during the pandemic.
2021 Christmas Giveaway
Rev. Charles Matthews worked with several volunteers from the Aiken Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to help 30 children in need from the community have a better Christmas by giving them $75 to spend on clothes and $20 to buy a toy at Walmart.

A local Aiken man, known for his compassionate and giving nature, works hard to make an impact and give back to his community by spearheading several local programs that assist children and families in need.
2023 Christmas Giveaway
The Matthews Foundation, a charitable nonprofit organization founded by the Rev. Charles Matthews, collaborates annually with the Aiken County Public School District McKinney-Vento Homeless Program to spread cheer to children in need.
